  Anyone Hear Hannity This Afternoon?

      Self | 24 Aug 2004 | Critter

Anyone listen to Hannity today? I was searching the AM dial for a decent talk show, and stumbled across Hannity. Normally I keep right on going, but there was nothing else where I happen to be at the time, so I listened for about 2 minutes.

His first caller in started taking him to task for spending 3 hours a day harping on Kerry, instead of talking about what Bush should be doing, if he was a conservative. The caller started listing issues that Bush is leaning left on, like immigration, gun control, campaign finance reform, prescription drugs, and Hannity cut him off saying that the guy was using leftist talking points right our of the Kerry Campaign brochure or some such bullshit, and hung up on the guy.

I was pissed! Supporting the 2nd amendment is a liberal talking point?
Wanting to deport illegal aliens is a leftist talking point? Wanting freedom of speech during elections is a leftist talking point?

Has this idiot completely lost his mind now? Or has he never had one?

I can't remember all that was said, but it was infuriating. I can't believe that this is considered conservative radio. What a complete and total sellout to the NWO.

You should read Jack's report (I posted it here) from the dem CONvention. Hannity and Jeanine Garafolo have the hots for each other. "Hannity is an asshole." The chairman of the RNC was there struttin' around like he owned the place. Get the picture?

Hannity can only handle one RNC talking point at a time apparently. HeÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¾Ã?¢s not known for being bright.

Yeah, I read Jack's report when you posted it. That was pretty interesting.

Thanks for posting that.

Hannity makes me sick. Gawd, I wanna vomit when I hear his voice. What a creep.

wanna hear something really bizarre?

i've become SO sick of the constant spinning of talk radio that I've actually started listening to NPR. It's a lot more informative than I'd ever imagined.

I'd generally shunned it in the past, because it's taxpayer funded. But then, Hannity is a commercial enterprise, and I can't stomach his blather.

They're perfectly fun to listen to when they're out of power, and bashing people I hate. But when they're in power and fawning over OTHER people I hate, I realize that I'd been sleeping with the enemy when I listened to them during the Clinton administration. These people who claim to love freedom have sold their souls and are NOT friends of liberty.

I truly believe that if Bush came to Hannity and asked him to participate in a gay orgy with he and Cheney, Hannity would strongly consider it. He's obviously got some kind of crush on Bush.

Some of today's GOP talking points were swift boat vets' sold out book, and eliminating 527s (PACs). What's truly creeepy is that the guest speaker for Rush goes right along with the day's talking points. Glen Beck was talking about Democrat talking points today, then went right into the GOP speel of the day.

For folks who don't know, the 527s are the only tax exempt organizations who can specifically advertise for or against a particular political candidate. 501(c)(3)s have very strict political limitations (unless they are marxist/pro-government in function), and 501 (c)(4)s can only do such in communications to their particular membership. Step out of line and the IRS is all over you. There's been a recent ruling that some web sites are seen as public advertisements. So, a prohibited group can't even have freedom of speech on their own web site. Some free speech we have. Outlawing 527s means only the RNC and DNC decide what ads are heard by the public. Only a true SOB and tyrant would support outlawing 527s.

Let me guess...Hannity villified 527s and hammered away on the Swift Boat Vets having a sold out book at Barnes and Noble. He might have even distanced Bush from the SBVs and said how we need to get back to the issues. It's Hannity and those guys who avoid the issues.

I realized he was a fraud when I heard him encourage everyone should get their kids microchipped to "keep them safe".

With "conservatives" like him, who needs liberals? Or even communists? Or fascists, for that matter?

Here's the news: Hannity is an empty suit..

He's always been shallow. At least you can say that Rush tries to B/S his was out of things, and perhaps has a legitimate (if incorrect) opinion.

Hannity wraps himself in the flag if he's in trouble, hangs up on people, changes the subject.. you name it.

If anyone debates like a leftist.. It's Sean Hannity.

I won't even listen to or watch him now. It's always the same, old routine and he's been at it for years. Alan Combs is 50 times smarter than Sean Hannity.. They should call that piece "Smart Lefty V/S Dumb Leftie"

I never hear Hannity any afternoon. I don't want to get AIDS. There's that new strain of AIDS going around. It's called Hearing AIDS. You get it from listening to assholes.

You are not the only one. I tired of the same old, over and over again RNC talking points from Limbo and Hannity and discovered NPR as an alternative.

Even though slanted to the left at least they do have guests and interviews from all sides and allow a discussion to take place.

Another blessing I've found is an all news, all the time station out of Detroit that delivers only news. No commentary...just news. Just wish the reception was a bit better.

To: Tim Osman, all

It's amazing how much they spoke of the Constitution, the 2nd amendment, and the rule of law while Clinton was in office. Now if a caller mentions the Constitution, they are "using liberal talking points".

They all sound the same to me... rush, hannity, ingraham, levin, and even savage, though he's a bit more critical of bush than the others. They are all hand puppets of the republican party.

I keep looking for an independent AM radio station that would like a good talk show host, but there aren't any. They have all been bought up by clear channel or some other conglomerate, and all air the same faux conservative talk shows.

I can't watch TV any more, and now it's getting so I can't listen to the radio any more either. I may have to buy a laptop to carry around with me. :)

Sounds like the treatment posters get at other forums, doesn't it? Hannity is a daily GOP talking point, nothng more. I haven't listened to him or the pill head for sometime now.

Maybe next time I get a moment, I'll build a website to help stop the spread of H.A.I.D.S. I'm gonna be looking for you to be a contributing editor. :)

Ahaha. That joke comes courtesy of Elmore Leonard. He used it in one of his novels a few years back. How much does the editor's job pay? ;-)
